美國職棒大聯盟(MLB)多倫多藍鳥(Toronto Blue Jays)投手李瑞安諾(Francisco Liriano)，7日遭到遊騎兵隊打者揮棒擊球砸中後腦勺，已經送醫接受進一步檢查。
這起可怕的事故發生在藍鳥和遊騎兵在德州舉行的季後賽第八局，當時葛梅茲(Carlos Gomez)大棒一揮，球直朝向李瑞安諾而去。在後腦袋被擊中後，李瑞安諾還舉起手摸了頭部，而葛梅茲在上壘後也一直注視著投手丘。
球隊隨即決定將李瑞安諾換下，雖然他仍可自行走下場，但仍被球隊以救護車送到醫院檢查。
藍鳥隊經理吉本斯(John Gibbons)指著自己的後腦勺和脖子說，「他被打到這裡的某個地方，我沒辦法告訴你確切的位置，所以他就是去接受某些進一步的測試。凡是頭部受傷都必須檢查，這就是目前所知道的。」
葛梅茲和同樣來自多明尼加的李瑞安諾是好朋友，他對發生的事受到驚嚇。「這很可怕，你並不想去傷害到任何人。」
